We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Maintenance Technician to join our team in a regional healthcare facility located in the Southern United States. This role involves maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical systems within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed records of preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, and safety protocols.
• Assist in ordering supplies and parts as directed to support maintenance activities.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Lubricate mechanical equipment and change air-conditioning filters regularly.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Inspect plumbing, heating, electrical systems, structures, and roofs to identify issues.
• Conduct electrical safety tests and monitor equipment for defects.
• Secure tools, equipment, and parts to ensure safety and availability.
• Maintain rooms, walls, ceilings, and paint or refinish surfaces as needed, adhering to relevant codes and standards.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, OSHA regulations, and state and federal building and safety codes.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow established safety protocols.
• Support setup and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems.
• Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide detectors and fire protection, scheduling repairs promptly.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure continuous functionality.
• Perform or assist with monthly generator testing.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals and values.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional technical training or certifications in maintenance, HVAC, or related fields are highly valued.

Experience

Previous experience in maintenance roles within healthcare or similar facilities is preferred. Familiarity with safety codes, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs is essential.

Requirements

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations are critical. Candidates should be comfortable working on-site and collaborating with various departments to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
